What is Pera Agad?

Pera Agad is a short-term unsecured loan for SMART prepaid and TNT subscribers. You can borrow up to 10000 pesos for as long as 36 weeks. Currently, the service is available in NCR, cities of Cebu, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue at selected SMART Padala and Pera Hub centers. You can see a list of those here.

Who Can Apply?

Pera Agad is an exclusive service for SMART prepaid and TNT subscribers. All subscribers can check if they are qualified by sending “OO” to 2423 to agree with the Term and Conditions regarding the use of personal data. Here is a link to our Terms and Conditions.

Qualified SMART prepaid and TNT subscribers will receive a text message inviting them to avail a Pera Agad loan in the closest SMART Padala or Pera Hub center. The text message will walk the subscriber through all of the necessary steps which are required to apply for a loan.

Requirements to apply for Pera Agad:

  • legal age of 18+ years
  • Active SMART prepaid or TNT subscriber
  • valid government ID with a picture 
  • complete application form

If you are interested in knowing more about the service, but have not received an invitation SMS yet, send the text “LOAN” to 2423 and receive more information about your eligibility to apply for a loan. Another option is to text “CALL” to 2423 and a Pera Agad representative will contact you.

How and Where to Apply?

Qualified SMART prepaid and TNT subscribers will receive a text message inviting them to apply for a loan in the closest SMART Padala or Pera Hub center. 

  • If the subscriber is interested in applying for a loan, he/she should reply with “OO”. 
  •  After that, the subscriber will receive a second text message with a unique Invitation Number. 
  • The Invitation Number should be presented in the nearest Smart Padala or Pera Hub centers to start the loan application and avail the loan instantly. 
  • The Pera Agad agent will help you to fill in the application. Just present your valid government ID. 
  • Wait around 10 minutes for your information to be validated. 
  • When you are approved to avail a loan, you will receive a text message with confirmation and Claim Reference Number (CRN), which you should present to the Pera Agad agent in order to receive the desired amount. 
  • Upon disbursement, the customer will receive a text message stating the amount and term he/she has withdrawn as well as congratulation on the successful loan encashment. Please, note that a commission of 2.5% is applicable upon disbursement.
  • If you are interested in knowing more about the service, but have not received an invitation SMS yet, text “LOAN” to 2423 and receive more information about your eligibility to avail a loan.
  • Another option is to text “CALL” to 2423 and Pera Agad representative will contact you. 
  • If a customer wants to see or print his/her documents (promissory note, disclosure statement, framework agreement), he can visit “Access Document’ on our homepage menu. Customers can log in with their mobile phone number and their Digital PIN (received during the loan application).

How to Repay?

Weekly loan installments can be paid at any Smart padala centers, Pera Hub centers, ECPay partners or Bayad centers. Please, note that a commission of PHP 10 is applicable at ECPay partners, a commision of PHP 15 is applicable at Smart Padala and Pera Hub Centers and 7/11 branches. Customers will receive SMS reminders about their weekly installments before their due date.

When a customer pays all his / her installments on time, 10% of the loan amount (the Processing Fee) is returned. On top of that, on-time re-payers qualify for lower interest rates on their next loan applications

Why should I Pay on time?

The following benefits and discounts are available for customers repaying on time:

 

  • Processing Fee is reimbursed (10% of loan amount).
  • Lower interest rate on their next loan applications.
  • Benefits for their Barangay c/o Smart PLDT Foundation.
  • Part of the loans paid on time will be used for social causes, chosen by the borrowers in their communities.
  • They establish a good credit record. A good credit record will enable these customers to use credit services with lower interest rates in other finance companies and banks.
  • If you fail to pay on time you may be blacklisted and lose right to access any other financial service
  • They get to avoid repetitive and annoying SMS notifications.
  • They get to avoid dealing with third-party collection agencies and possible legal actions.

How can I see my signed loan agreement?

All your loan documentation is available under “Access Documents” in our homepage. Once you click on it, you will be prompted to type your unique Digital PIN and your mobile phone number. After that, you’ll be able to see all the documents related to your loan.

What is a Processing Fee?

Processing Fee is what we charge in order to process your initial loan application. It is equivalent to 10% of the total amount of your loan (if your borrow PHP 5,000, your processing fee will be PHP 500).

Customer that never delay any one of their installment payments by more than 7 days receive the Processing Fee back after they pay their final loan installment. Once that is done, we send to customers a new Claim Reference Number (CRN) for them to go to any Smart Padala outlet and withdraw their Processing Fee.

How do I get my Digital PIN signature?

You will receive your Digital PIN through a text message when you are approved for your first loan. Keep it safe and don’t share it with anyone, because that Digital PIN works as a personal signature to accept all our services.

If you lose or forget your Digital PIN, just call our Customer Service (1800-10888-2423) to validate your identity and request a new one.

What should I do if I receive SMS telling me I obtained a credit and I have not taken one?

Call our Customer Service (1800-10888-2423) immediately and inform one of our agents. 

What should I do to decrease the cost of my credit?

Once you obtain your loan, make sure you pay on time all your installments to avoid paying Penalty Fees (a penalty fee of PHP 30 is charged on every installment that gets delayed by more than 7 days).

Can I prepay my credit?

Yes, you can. Pre-payments can be done anytime and without any extra charge: all you have to do is to pay your outstanding balance in one lump sum and your loan will be entirely pre-paid.

Your outstanding balance is mentioned on the weekly SMS confirmations you receive after you make your installment payments.
